We have a new vicar! 'The Venerable Dr Paul Moore, previously Archdeacon for Mission Development and who holds Permission to Officiate in the Diocese of Winchester, has been appointed Priest-in-Charge of Hathersage with Bamford & Derwent and Grindleford, Diocese of Derby. Dr Moore hopes to take up his new appointment in the autumn.'

Paul has a passion for mission and comes to us with a wealth of experience in developing and growing churches through reaching out to families, youth and older people.

Together with Lucy, who started the first Messy Church and now works full time as Team Leader of the international Messy Church movement, they have seen significant growth in the number of children and adults who were previously not connected with any church. The ultimate aim is to nurture and lead people into becoming lifelong followers of Jesus.

Paul and Lucy have two grown-up children, Arthur and Judith, and a small but feisty dog called Minnie.  We look forward to welcoming Paul and Lucy with Minnie, hopefully in November, when they will be moving into the vicarage at Hathersage.

The church is now open for private prayer on Monday mornings, 10am -12.00 and Thursday afternoons, 2pm - 4pm.

Sunday service is on Zoom at 10:30 am - click on button to join
